Mondays | 4:00-6:00pm| The Norwalk Art Space | Session #1: September 28 - October 26 (4 sessions, no class on 10/12) Session #2: November 2 - November 23 (registration opens on 10/1) Free and open to students 11-14 yrs old | 12 spots | Registration required through The Art Space website Class Description: Would you like to paint like an Impressionist? In this class, students will learn to mix any color their eye can see with acrylic paints. By the end of 4 sessions, they will have created a painting inspired by their favorite Impressionist painting. Each class will focus on a different component of color theory and a lesson on a famous Impressionist artist’s technique. Please note that this is session #1 of two four-week courses. Students may sign up for both sessions once registration for session #2 opens on 10/1. Students will study with resident artist Alexa Luft, who is currently remixing and reimagining her own piece inspired by a famous Impressionist painting by Georges Seurat.
