Manga Inspired Comics

Service Description

Thursdays | 3:45- 5:45pm | The Norwalk Art Space | January 30, 2025 - April 10, 2025 (10 weeks; no class on February 20th) Free and open to students 12 - 18 yrs of age | 12 spots | Registration required through the Art Space website. In this class, students will learn the thoughts and techniques that go into comic making and design. We will discuss a variety of subjects, from storytelling to composition. Students will observe work from popular manga artists to gain insight into how these artists created their individual stories. The goal of this class will be to complete a few pages of a personal story and leave equipped with the knowledge and confidence to continue their comics. Artwork will be exhibited in the student exhibition at the end of the semester.
